Updated national athletics calendar for 2025 announced

Following the launch of the revamped Lloyds National Track Series, we can announce the full track calendar for the 2025/26 season. The exciting new format includes a revamped elite series for sprint, endurance and paracycling, as well as a revamped track offering with a revived summer series, grass racing series and youth and junior series.

Lloyds National Track Series

Beginning in October 2025 and running until January 2026, the Lloyds National Athletics Series will consist of four stages comprising a sprint, endurance and paracycling league. Each round will feature National Championship events including Elimination, Team Pursuit, Omnium, Madison and 1K Time Trial.

The Elite National Program dates are provided to allow riders to take part in endurance events and prepare for races ahead of the Lloyd’s National Athletics Championships, held annually in February.

  • Round 1: Derby (sprint and endurance, including national elimination) – 19 October 2025
  • Stage 2: Newport (Para, Sprint and Endurance including National Team Pursuit) – 15-16 November 2025
  • Round 3: Manchester (Para and Endurance including National Omnium and National Madison) – 20-21 December 2025
  • Stage 4: Glasgow (Para and Sprint including 1km National Time Trial) – 24-25 January 2026

Lloyd’s National Summer Series

We are also delighted to announce the new Lloyds National Summer Series, which will revitalize our outdoor velodromes and revitalize our historic blue riband events. It will also provide club riders with the opportunity to automatically qualify for the Lloyd’s National Athletics Championships from 2026.

  • Round 2: Herne Hill – 20 July 2025
  • Round 3: Portsmouth – 17 August 2025

Youth and junior races

Youth and junior races

While our successful National Youth Omnium Series will continue for the 2025 season, with riders competing in four qualifying rounds of the National Finals, the National Future Sprint Series will be a new addition to our youth and junior offering. Inspired by Emma Finucane and Jack Carlin, the national Sprint Future Series provides young drivers with the opportunity to test their sprinting prowess.

  • Round 2: Wolverhampton, Herne Hill, Mandy Park – 26-27 April 2025
  • Round 3: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Brighton, Caird Park – 17-18 May 2025
  • Round 4: Middlesbrough, Poole, Welwyn – 7-8 June 2025
  • Final: Lee Valley Cycle Park – 12 July 2025

National Future Sprint Series

  • Round 1: Lee Valley Cycle Park – April 6, 2025
  • Round 2: Middlesbrough – 25 May 2025
  • Round 3: Newcastle-under-Lyme – 14-15 June 2025

The Lloyds Bank National Grass Track Series continues to grow and enjoy success with 10 rounds available and a variety of tracks for drivers and spectators to enjoy.

  • Round 4: Ashwell Summer – July 13, 2025
