Zakes Bantwini took a moment to apologize for his opinion of DJ Cleo’s set at SAMA

Zakes Bantwini took a moment to apologize for his opinion of DJ Cleo’s set at SAMA. As they say, the one who apologizes first is the bravest. Zakes Bantwini didn’t think twice before apologizing when DJ Cleo criticized him in a recent tweet.

DJ Cleo was one of the music acts to take to the South African Music Awards stage on Saturday. The award-winning DJ rocked the house with his set, spinning Kwaito hits. The bat included giants such as Arthur Mafokate, Thebe, Abashante and other giants of the 90s. Those who could understand this danced the night away, and those born after Kwaito danced too.

However, with these things you definitely won’t be able to please everyone. One person who believes something could be done is Zakes Bantwini. The Grammy Award-winning DJ was pleased with the set but felt Durban Kwaito was not properly represented in the mix. He took to Twitter to share his side of the story.

In response, DJ Cleo believes that Zaks could have expressed his point differently. He feels that Zaks could call him since he has his number. Cleo also added that SAMA is very political and is not his show where he has complete control.

Let’s set an example for young people and not rant on social media like they do. I’m begging– added Cleo.

Without wasting any time, Zaks apologized. He said his comment was only motivated by his love for music. Zaks also agreed with Cleo that he should have communicated with him directly rather than on social media.

I apologize if my previous tweet offended you. My comment was inspired by my passion for music. You are right; I should have contacted him directly. Please accept my sincere apologies.“, wrote Zakes Bantwini.
