King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard Announce 2025 Orchestral Tour

King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard have announced a US orchestral tour that will take place in the summer of 2025. They also shared “Phantom Island” and confirmed that the 3-day camping festival in Colorado called Field of Vision will be closing at the end. their US tour.

The prolific Australian band have played hundreds of concerts but have never performed with a 28-piece orchestra before. King Gizzard, led by Sarah Hicks, will be joined by several different orchestras at each show on the tour. The summer series of orchestral shows will culminate with Field of Vision, a new three-day residency at Meadow Creek in Buena Vista, Colorado, running August 15-17. The orchestral shows and Field of Vision will be King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard’s only US performances all year.

The seven-date 2025 Phantom Island Orchestra Tour begins July 28 in Philadelphia and continues to New Haven and New York City. Following a non-orchestral performance at Forest Hills Stadium in New York on August 2, the orchestra tour will continue to Maryland, Illinois and Colorado, ending with a concert in San Diego on August 11. Tickets for the 2025 King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard Orchestra Tour (excluding the Highland Park, Illinois show) go on sale Friday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster and on the band’s website.

In addition to the tour announcement, King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard shared a new song, “Phantom Island.” Following the orchestral theme, “Phantom Island” features a string section, horns, auxiliary percussion and more.
