MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the basic conditions for processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field for 2025-2026, the Russian holding said in a statement.

The head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, held a working meeting on Monday, where they discussed the progress and prospects of cooperation, in particular, in the field of gas supplies and transportation.

“At the meeting, an agreement was signed on the basic conditions for processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field in 2025-2026,” Gazprom said.

Earlier, Sklyar said that Kazakhstan will process gas from a field in the West Kazakhstan region at Gazprom’s Orenburg gas processing plant.

In November 2023, Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed a strategic cooperation agreement covering gas supply, transportation, processing and production.
