District Collector A Tamim Ansaria has warned all managements of secondary and higher education colleges not to restrict students from attending classes or deny them tickets for final or practical examinations on the ground that the government fee refund amount has not been paid.

If the management of a secondary (XI and XII) or higher education college is found to be restricting students from attending classes or denying them tickets for final or practical examinations due to non-payment of fee refund amounts, they will be subject to severe punishment as per the law, it said. report New Indian Express.

“We will take serious action against these colleges/institutions such as canceling their registration/branches or blacklisting them immediately,” the Collector warned.

On Sunday, November 24, the collection agency informed through a note that the government has already announced that it is going to pay all student fee refunds directly to the bank accounts of the respective educational institutions soon.

Therefore, in this regard, the management of secondary or higher education colleges should not harass students for non-payment of tuition fees. “We have received reports that some educational institutions are starting to harass students regarding tuition fees. Thus, such harassment will not be tolerated against any student and if any institute does this, they will face punishment,” the Collector warned.
