It appears that interest in quarterback Daniel Jones has not waned since his departure from the New York Giants.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Sunday that 10 teams have “already reached out” to Jones, with one potential suitor giving him an opportunity to play right now.

Glazer also confirmed that the caller would prefer to sign with a playoff-contending team, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported. According to Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings are considered the “two most likely teams” to land Jones.

It is unknown whether the team offering the 27-year-old the opportunity to play immediately is attempting to make the playoffs, which would likely influence his decision to become a free agent.

With Jones’ contract remaining at $11.8 million through his 2024 campaign, as well as $23 million in injury guarantees after the regular season, he is expected to waive claims Monday and sign a one-year deal with a new team “sooner than later” (sooner rather than later). via Schefter).

He may have a hard time finding a landing spot that suits both of his stated interests, as teams vying for a playoff spot typically have a stable quarterback situation.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler called the San Francisco 49ers a “situation to watch” for Jones on Saturday, which could allow him to take immediate action. Starter Brock Purdy will not start in Week 12 with a shoulder injury.

The Ravens offer a reserve role on a team with competing ambitions as they look to be heading towards their third straight playoff appearance with a 7-4 record. However, Jones will be ranked just behind reigning MVP Lamar Jackson on Baltimore’s depth chart.

Las Vegas gives him a clearer path to playing time given the inconsistency of Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder, but the Raiders fell out of the playoffs with a 2-8 record to start the season.

Despite being benched in New York, which ultimately led to his waiver request, Jones still received interest from several teams before he cleared waivers on Monday at 4:00 pm ET .
