Air New Zealand looks to Qantas for premium cabin upgrade

Air New Zealand will follow Qantas’ lead in updating and refurbishing its long-haul cabins to add more premium economy and business class seats, isolating the airline from weak domestic and corporate travel markets.

While Qantas waits for the new planes to start selling tickets on its ultra-long-haul Sunrise routes from Melbourne and Sydney to New York and London, Air New Zealand told investors on Monday it was upgrading its wide-body planes.
