A Lewisville woman confronted a man who she said took photos of her up her skirt at Walmart.

LEWISVILLE, TX – Lewisville police are investigating a woman’s claims that a man inappropriately recorded her as she walked through Walmart with her child.

The woman recorded her confrontation with the man, who apparently admits to deleting all the videos and photos.

Aasha Meyers says last Wednesday she was confronted by a man she believed was secretly recording her while she was shopping with her 5-month-old baby boy at Walmart off East Round Grove Road in Lewisville.

“I noticed he was taking photos of me from behind inappropriately,” she said.

FOX 4 is not showing the man’s face or airing his voice because he has not been charged with a crime.

In the video, the man appears to admit to recording Meyers and even says he will delete the images.

Meyers demanded to see the man’s phone number for verification, but he did not allow her to do so before leaving.

“He told me the reason he wouldn’t let me see him delete the photos was because he had other strange photos,” she said. “And it made me think about how deep he is in what he does.”

The Lewisville Police Department is investigating after Meyers filed a report.

“I give her credit for being very aware of her surroundings and also knowing what we would tell people if this were the case,” Lewisville Police Officer Matt Martucci said. “If you see something or feel something is strange, get help.”

However, the police department says the video alone does not solve the crime.

“She’s in a community store, so no one in that store has any expectation of privacy,” Martucci said. “What we see in the video is that from a legal point of view there are no signs of a crime being committed. It’s okay to take photos, but we can’t prove what the photos were.”

The department says photos taken in private places, such as restrooms or locker rooms, or photos taken up someone’s skirt in public are illegal.

“I understand that, but it’s definitely a violation,” Meyers said.

Meyers wonders and even fears what the person who supposedly recorded it planned to do with the images.

“The world we live in is just crazy,” she said.

Meyers says the man may have left with another man she saw at the store.
