Boy Thohir’s Adaro Energy changes name to PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Company owned by Garibaldi Thohir, also known as Boy Thohir, PT. Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) officially changed its name on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The coal company has now been renamed PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk.

“Therefore, we amend clause (1) of Article 1 of the company’s articles of association regarding the name of the company,” Adaro’s board of directors said in a statement on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) website on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

The move is a result of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (RUPSLB) on 18 November. This change was approved by 87.153 percent or 22,372,506,419 shareholders. Meanwhile, 3,297,580,614 or 12,846 shareholders did not approve.

RUPSLB shareholders also agreed that the company will distribute cash dividends to all shareholders amounting to US$2.62 billion or about Rp 41.7 trillion (exchange rate: Rp 15,916). This dividend is derived from a portion of the company’s retained earnings as of December 31, 2023. “Approve the determination and use of part of retained earnings,” Adaro management said in a disclosure statement on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) website cited. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024

When distributing dividends, management also planned the following:

1. Announcement of the schedule and procedures for the distribution of additional final cash dividends on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and the Company website on November 20, 2024.

2. The date of registration by shareholders of the right to receive additional final dividends in cash (“record date”) is November 29, 2024.

3. Announcement of the conversion rate (using the average rate of Bank Indonesia) and information on the amount of dividends per share on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and the Company website on November 29, 2024.

4. Regular and Negotiated Market: Ex Dividend November 26, 2024 and Ex Dividend November 28, 2024

5. Cash Market: Including dividend on November 29, 2024 and ex-dividend on December 2, 2024.

6. Payment of additional final cash dividends on December 6, 2024.
