Thanks to restoration efforts, St. John’s Prep is firmly in third place in the rankings.

St. John’s Prep bounced back strongly from a 34-0 loss to Catholic Memorial, ousting BC High 28-0 in the final week of the regular season to finish third in the Globe’s top 20 football poll.

Needham, Scituate, Shawsheen and Reading completed undefeated streaks heading into the MIAA playoffs, and King Philip also finished 8-0, extending its state-leading winning streak to 21 games.

Bishop Feehan took control of the Catholic Central League standings with a 13-0 win over St. Mary’s. Foxboro topped North Attleboro and moved 4-0 to first place in the Hockomock Davenport standings, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown with Mansfield (5-3, 3-1) on Thanksgiving Day.

Wellesley returns to the poll at number 16 after an impressive win over Weymouth.
