Harrison Ford endorses Kamala Harris-Tim Waltz days before 2024 election

Harrison Ford is voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in this year’s presidential election.

Reduction The star released three videos in partnership with the Harris-Waltz campaign, explaining her decision to support the vice president and governor of Minnesota over Donald Trump.

“When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding the alarm, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you should pay attention,” Ford said in one of the videos (above). “They are telling us something important. These are not soft people. They are governors and generals opposing the leader of the party they have defended all their lives.”

He explained that for many people, this will be the first time they’ve voted for someone who doesn’t have the “R” for Republican next to the names listed because “they know it’s really important.”

“The truth is that Kamala Harris will defend your right to disagree with her on policies or ideas, and then, as we have done for centuries, we will debate them. We will work on them together and move forward,” said Indiana Jones the star continued. “The other guy, he demands unquestioning loyalty, says he wants revenge. I’m Harrison Ford. I have one voice, just like everyone else, and I’m going to use it to move forward. I’m going to vote for Kamala Harris.”

In another video released in collaboration with the campaign, Ford noted that he disagrees with Harris and Walz on every single policy and doesn’t think they are perfect, but “these are two men who believe in the rule of law.”

“They believe in science,” he continued. “They believe that when you govern, you do so for all Americans. They believe we are in this together. These are the ideas I believe in. These are people I can support.”

Star wars The star also noted that he is disappointed with “a lot of things in this country,” as he is “sure” other people are too. “But the other guy, he spent four years pitting us against each other while supporting dictators and tyrants around the world,” he added. “We’re not like that. We don’t need to make America great again. Come on, we’re great, but we need to work together again. We need a president who will work for all of us again.”

In a third video, Ford addressed people who may not yet be sure who to vote for ahead of the November 5 presidential election.

“If you’re still unsure, here’s what to look out for: Who’s trying to scare you into voting for them? Who is trying to make you look at your neighbors with anger, suspicion, hatred, and who encourages you to build something together with the people around you? – he said. “It would be great to move forward.”

Ford’s support comes on the heels of LeBron James’ announcement Vice President’s support and the governor of Minnesota in a social media post Thursday. He wrote: “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my children, my family and what they will grow up to be, the choice is obvious to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”

Cardi B also expressed her support for Harris at her rally in Milwaukee on Friday, where the rapper gave a 10-minute speech saying she did not support Trump or Joe Biden before he dropped out of the election. But when Harris entered the race, it “completely changed my mind.”

“I didn’t believe in any candidate until she came on board and said the words I wanted to hear about the future of this country,” Cardi B said of the vice president. “I believe every word she says. She is passionate, compassionate, empathetic and most importantly, realistic. Kamala recognizes that this country is in danger and that we need to strengthen our economy and address the rising cost of living.”

She then focused on Trump’s recent comments about protecting women, “whether they like it or not.”

“Advocating for women, especially around maternal health and mental health, is not about telling us what to do with our bodies,” the rapper said. “It’s about supporting us and providing the care we need for our choices. People like Donald Trump don’t believe women deserve rights.”

Ford, James and Bardi B join several celebrities supporting Harris and Walz, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Megan Thee Stallion, Michael Keaton, Eminem, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bad Bunny and Arnold Schwarzenegger and others. .
