Former champions St George’s College (STGC), St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) and Wolmer’s Boys, as well as Hydel High, will be hoping to secure their places in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Digicel Manning Cup quarter-finals when they compete in the second half today The final set of matches of the second round will take place today.

STGC, coached by Neville “Bertis” Bell, is set to take on reigning Manning Cup champions Mona in Group A at Jamaica College’s Aschenheim Stadium. The other group game sees Campion College take on St Jago’s School at GC Foster College in St Catherine.

Craig Butler-trained Mona, who is on the verge of reaching the quarter-finals, tops the group with a maximum of six points. They are followed by Campion College and St George’s College, who have three points from two games. However, Campion College has a goal difference advantage over St George’s. St Jago’s are bottom of the group with no points, having lost both games.

At Stadium East, STATHS will be looking to keep their hopes of promotion alive when they take on Group C leaders Kingston College (KC), who have already reached the quarter-finals.

The group’s other game will see second-place Heidel take on Walmer at the Spanish city’s Prison Oval. KC tops the group with a maximum of six points, followed by Hydel (three) and STATHS and Wolmer’s with one point each.
