Ennismore is preparing for three Australian debuts next year

With leisure travel in high demand, the future for boutique hotels remains bright, according to Accor vice president of development for the Pacific region Brett Forer.

In my 16 years at Accor, I have witnessed an incredible increase in demand for boutique and collectible brands. These segments are currently some of the fastest growing in the hotel industry, with luxury, premium and mid-range categories growing rapidly. Today’s guests aren’t just looking for a place to stay; these are socially connected, worldly travelers seeking a personalized, authentic and unique local experience.

Whether city or regional, hotels that offer a unique personality – be it through unique design, rich heritage or exceptional location – captivate travelers who want more than just accommodation. They are looking for accommodation that will make their trip more enjoyable and create a holiday feeling.

Ennismore, the fastest growing hotel company in which Accor has a majority stake, is an example of this trend. We are excited to introduce three highly anticipated hotels in Australia next year – 25hours Hotel The Olympia in Sydney, Mondrian Gold Coast and Mondrian Residences Gold Coast in Burleigh Heads and Hyde Perth – all making their Australian debut in 2025. In New Zealand, Ennismore will open JO&JOE Auckland next year.

Our new Handwritten Collection brand is also ideally suited to meet the growing demand in the boutique market. This global portfolio of unique hotels adds to our collectible brands segment with three new additions only in Australia: Hotel Morris Sydney, Hotel Woolstore 1888 Sydney and Wonil Hotel Perth.

In addition, our Tribe brand, known for its rapid growth around the world, caters to travelers who value a well-organized space. We’re excited to make Tribe’s debut in New Zealand this year with the opening of Tribe Auckland.

Accor has become the partner of choice for leading ownership groups and independent hoteliers thanks to its unrivaled portfolio of brands, strong global commercial distribution channels and seamless transition processes.

There is strong interest in our Ennismore brands, boutiques and collections and we are actively exploring numerous opportunities to expand these unique offerings across the Pacific region. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to delivering exceptional experiences that resonate with today’s discerning travelers.
