Nicole Clark of Natrona will visit the Black Hills State on the track

Natrona County High School distance runner Nicole Clark will continue her athletic career at Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota. She’ll be running cross country and doing track and field with the Yellow Jackets, so Clark will be busy.

At the 2024 State Cross Country meet in Cheyenne, Clark placed 11th in the 4A Girls race with a time of 20:08.3. Her junior season at the 2023 state meet, she ran 19.52.9, good enough for 7th place in the 4A girls division. She was also 7th in the state her sophomore year with a time of 19.46.29.

Clark performed well as a member of the Natrona track and field team, placing 6th in the 4A 1600m at the 2024 state meet and her Philly team placing 2nd in the 4×800 relay. At the 2023 state track meet, she placed 8th in the 3200 meters and 11th in the 1600 meters. Her 4×800 relay team placed fourth. Back at the 2022 State Track Meet, Clark placed 10th in the 4A girls 1600 meters and 11th in the 2-mile.
