‘Big Brother’ fans outraged by hidden area ‘never shown’ on TV | Television and Radio | Show business and TV

Big Brother fans are scratching their heads over a key element of the show that has gone largely unnoticed.

ITV2’s Big Brother has captivated viewers since its launch earlier this month with a non-stop stream of drama. However, some eagle-eyed fans have noticed the curious absence of a smoking area on our screens.

This is despite the fact that several housemates are smokers and vapers.

Earlier in the series, there was a glimpse of the smoking room when Marcello joked about kissing Ali in that secret corner. It also happened while the Big Brother influencer was dealing with a house rule violation.

But the room has since disappeared from view, leaving viewers perplexed and demanding answers, reports the Mirror.

Followers of the social network Reddit began to theorize and debate. Starting a discussion around the mysterious space, one of the viewers asked: “Why did BB stop including it in the show? We all know that this is a spicy tea. watershed. We’re missing out.”

In response, one fan recalled: “Didn’t they also have to buy cigarettes from their shopping budget? Drama”.

Another chimed in with the supposed explanation for the lack of a smoking area on air: “They’re only supposed to let one person in at a time so they don’t gossip in there.”

Viewers said one suggested it could be a deliberate move on the channel’s part, explaining: “It was ITV’s decision: they don’t want to be seen as encouraging smoking because public attitudes towards it have changed.”

Meanwhile, another fan expressed frustration over past airtime restrictions, saying: “This is so annoying, in the last Channel 5 series we all wondered why Sian got ZERO screen time, literally less than Tom this season. Anyway, after she got evicted, she brought it up because she chain-smoked all day, so they couldn’t use any of her scenes. So much good content has been cut, it really annoys me.”

During Thursday night’s episode, viewers saw the Big Brother house divided for the latest challenge, introducing new rules that included restricted access to certain areas, resulting in some contestants being banned from the smoking room by their peers.
