More than 100 people and numerous emergency responders attended the Kildeer Police Department’s first annual Trick or Treat event last weekend.

The Kildeer Police Department held its first annual trick-or-treating event at the Concorde Banquets in Kildeer from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

About 100 to 150 people attended the event, according to Kildeer Police Chief Steve Balinski.

The event was attended by representatives from the Kildeer Police Department, Lake Zurich Police Department, Hawthorne Woods Police Department, Lake County Forest Preserve, Buffalo Grove Police Department, Lake Zurich Fire and Rescue Department, Long Grove Fire Protection District and CERT.

Balinsky said 10-15 local residents and business owners also took part in decorating their cars.
