1st period

  • 6:39 – VGK goal: Alex Pietrangelo scores his first goal of the season. Thanks to the assist, Alexander Holz scores a point for the fourth game in a row. VGK leads 1:0 in the first round.
  • End of Round 1: Golden Knights lead 1–0

2nd period

  • 3:30 – VGK goal: League points leader Mark Stone scored his fifth goal of the season and Jack Eichel had an assist on his birthday. VGK leads 2-0 in the 2nd.
  • 8:03 – Completion of the game in the majority of VGK: The Knights fail to capitalize on their first PP opportunity of the night. Midway through the second half the score remains 2-0.
  • 16:00 – Completion of the game in the majority of VGK: Vegas again can’t turn power play opportunities into points. Today the score is 0-2 in PP. The score is still 2-0 at the end of the second half.
  • End of Round 2: Golden Knights lead 2–0

3rd period

  • 2:19 – VKG goal: Keegan Kolesar scores his third goal in his last five games. Cole Schwindt gets an assist against his former team. VGK leads 3-0 in the third.
  • 12:21 – Successful penalty kick by VGK: Adin Hill and the VGK defense keep the Flames from getting on the board, and Jack Eichel ends up in the box for tripping.
  • 13:59 – VGK goal: Keegan Kolesar scores his second goal of the game, his fourth in the last five games, to give the Knights a dominant 4–0 lead.
  • 14:14 – VGK goal: 15 seconds into the game after Kolesar’s goal, Nick Roy scores. VGK is in control, leading the Flames 5-0.
  • FINAL – VGK wins 5:0, Adin Hill keeps a clean sheet

BEFORE THE GAME

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Vegas Golden Knights look to remain perfect on home ice as they conclude a four-game homestand against the Calgary Flames on Monday.

The Knights are 6-0-0 at T-Mobile Arena this season and are riding a three-game winning streak.

The Flames enter Monday night’s game on the back of two losses to the Winnipeg Jets and Carolina Hurricanes.

Adin Hill was first on the ice for the Knights in the morning skate, meaning he’ll be in net tonight. Head coach Bruce Cassidy said after the skate that defenseman Nick Hague is still out with an injury and is considered day-to-day.

Additionally, all fans in attendance today will receive an exclusive Golden Knight bobblehead.

Some key facts before the game:

  • Mark Stone currently leads the league in points with 4 goals and 13 assists. He was named the first NHL Star of the Week.
  • Jack Eichel is one assist shy of his 100th goal for VGK. And it’s his birthday!
  • Shea Theodore is three points away from 300 points as a Knight.
