Problems arise at Swift Current polling place – SwiftCurrentOnline.com

There were reports of problems at at least one polling place in Swift Current.

Voters have been experiencing problems with St. Olaf’s Church computers since approximately 5:40 pm today. The problem persisted to the point that backup machines were deployed to ensure voters could cast their ballots.

Kali Willison encountered similar problems again an hour later at 6:45 p.m., but was only able to vote using her voter card and ID.

“There was a line of people out the door,” Willison said. “They said their software wasn’t working again.”

Voters are being told that wait times to vote may be longer, even as the evening approaches its final hour.
