The new Porsche 911 Turbo will be equipped with a hybrid drive, while the 911 Carrera S will remain petrol.

The GTS T-Hybrid has a total power output of 533 hp. and torque 610 Nm, which is 60 hp more. and 40 Nm more than its non-hybrid predecessor. Moreover, the hybrid system added only 50 kg to the overall vehicle weight.

The outgoing 911 Turbo is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that produces 572 hp, while the 911 Turbo S increases that output to 641 hp. Adding hybrid power is sure to increase the already impressive numbers and take performance up another notch or two.

According to Meschke, the new 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera S should arrive in early 2025 and will not be electrified. But we expect its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine to benefit from the larger turbos and intercoolers that the base Carrera received after a refresh a few months ago. This should result in a slight increase in power from 444 hp. and torque of 530 Nm in the current model.

Other changes to the new 992.2 Carrera S and Turbo will mirror those found on the facelifted 911 variants, including a fully digital instrument display, a new front bumper design with active aerodynamics, new headlights and taillights, and an updated version of the active chassis control system. Porsche PDCC for some models.
