Auckland Transport Western Line trains grounded as power cut leaves carriages stuck at level crossing

Commuters in Auckland are facing major disruption this morning with Western Line trains delayed and canceled due to power outages.

The trains reportedly stopped, with one getting stuck at a level crossing and blocking motorists for more than 15 minutes.

Auckland Transport (AT)’s website says people should expect delays and cancellations due to an “overhead power line fault”.

AT said regular buses accept Hop cards and paper rail tickets.
