Early voting results appear to bolster support for this candidate in the Trump-Harris battle

Early voting could be a boon for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in her White House battle with former GOP President Donald Trump.

Citing data from TargetSmart, the Daily Mail reported that more than 8 million people had voted as of Friday.

Of those, 4.5 million were registered Democrats and 3.1 million were registered Republicans. Another 740,000 were unaffiliated voters.

The Daily Mail reported that 4.4 million early voters were women and 3.7 million were men.

While it is impossible to know who the votes were cast for, the numbers appear to favor Harris.

Historically, Democrats are more likely to vote early, the Daily Mail reports. Trump has also criticized early voting in the past. But the Republican Party is urging its voters to take advantage of early voting.

Democrats were also reported to be ahead of Republicans when it comes to early and absentee voting in seven swing states considered crucial in this year’s presidential election.

More than 2.6 million ballots were cast in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

More than 1.4 million of those ballots were cast by Democrats and just over 964,000 by Republicans, according to the Daily Mail. Another 253,000 independent voters also cast ballots in battleground states.

Republicans lead early and absentee voting in Arizona, Georgia and Nevada.

Democrats are leading in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Early in-person voting is also available in North Carolina.

The state broke records with more than 350,000 people voting on the first day of early in-person voting on Thursday, the Daily Mail reported.

More than 428,000 people have now voted in North Carolina, according to state data.

They include more than 156,000 Democrats, 142,000 Republicans and more than 127,000 independent voters.

Election day is November 5th.
