Chargers vs Cardinals: How to watch, predictions and betting odds

If the Chargers struggled to contain Denver’s rookie quarterback Bo Nix, Kyler Murray could easily become a nightmare.

The Arizona Cardinals’ dynamic dual-threat quarterback is the top concern for the Chargers’ top-ranked defense in Monday’s primetime game at State Farm Stadium as the Cardinals (2-4) try to shake off a three-game rut. at four weeks.

Murray’s 50-yard touchdown was the highlight of the Cardinals’ only win in the past month as it pushed Arizona to a thrilling 24-23 victory in San Francisco in Week 5.

Along with running back James Conner, Murray leads an offense that is tied for second in the league with 5.3 yards per carry. Conner ranks eighth in the NFL in rushing yards with 403, just behind Chargers running back J.C. Dobbins, who is one game shy of 438 yards.

After giving up Nix’s 61-yard rushing performance last week, the Chargers (3-2) will be shorthanded on defense, with outside linebacker Joey Bosa (hip) questionable and cornerbacks Asante Samuel Jr. (shoulder, on injured reserve) and Dean Leonard (hamstring) removed.

Injuries in the secondary could force rookies Cam Hart and Tarheeb Still to play larger roles again after they both started against the Broncos.

However, the fifth-round draft pick, who has started two straight games as a nickel, is looking forward to making his prime-time NFL debut.

“Everyone in the country is watching,” Still said, “but it’s just a big stage on which to do big things.”
