Perth meeting on Tuesday canceled due to track flooding

Tuesday’s meeting in Perth was canceled due to track flooding after a gale warning was issued for the whole of Scotland.

Course officials had scheduled inspection for 8:30 a.m. Monday but made the decision early due to standing water in the finishing line.

About 9mm of rain fell on the track on Sunday, with more than 55mm falling in October. A yellow warning for high winds of up to 60mph was issued in Scotland on Sunday, with some parts of the country changing to yellow.

With the seven-race card cancelled, British daytime fixtures will take place on Tuesday in Yarmouth and Exeter, followed by Newcastle.
