King asks Stanley Tucci to design a menu for an Anglo-Italian dinner

The King personally asked Stanley Tucci to attend a private dinner to celebrate Anglo-Italian relations.

Tucci said he had been developing the menu for the evening, which is due to take place in the new year, because he became acquainted with the monarch after they met at a Prince’s Trust event in May last year.

The actor described the dinner, which will be held at King’s Highgrove home in Gloucestershire, as “a journey between our two cultures.”

“Now, okay, I won’t be in the kitchen cooking for him,” Tucci, 64, told The Telegraph.

“But the Italian ambassador came to me and said, ‘I want to have lunch and Charles would like you to attend,’ so I came up with a menu.”
