There are currently three mattresses you can buy directly from Lucid: a memory foam mattress (the most popular and inexpensive foam mattress); Gel + Aloe Vera Hybrid Mattress (a hybrid model that combines aloe vera coils and gel-infused foam); and the Latex Hybrid Mattress (a best-selling latex bed that uses premium cooling materials).

Although the brand’s website only offers three beds, you can still buy discontinued beds from third-party retailers like Amazon. This is especially true for the Lucid Gel memory foam mattress. How much do Lucid mattresses cost?

The main advantage of Lucid mattresses is their affordable price. When you combine the three available mattresses and Lucid (keeping in mind that prices vary depending on which height or firmness option you choose), the average price of a queen-size Lucid mattress is still under $500 (447. $99) – and that doesn’t include discounts or the “Daily Deal” that Lucid offers.

Their cheapest mattress is a memory foam mattress, and the foam bed is available in both soft and medium firm, with a king size priced at $389.99 at full retail price. Lucid’s most expensive mattress is the Latex Hybrid, a top-selling latex cooling bed that costs $479.99 (firm, 10-inch version) or $579.99 (medium, 12-inch version).

On Lucid’s official website, customer reviews are mostly positive, with the majority of customers giving the mattresses four or five stars. The most well-received mattresses are the memory foam mattress and the latex hybrid mattress, both of which have an overall rating of 4.8 stars, followed by the gel + aloe vera hybrid mattress with 4.2 stars.

Users praise the fast delivery, ease of installation, support and comfort, but there have been complaints about the corners of the mattresses not opening fully, as well as confusion during delivery (negative reviews are rare, however).

On Amazon, the Lucid 14-inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress (filled with bamboo, charcoal, and temperature-regulating gel) is a bestseller, with over 52,000 ratings and an overall rating of 4.4 stars. 71% of customers rated the bed five stars and praised its excellent value for money, comfort and lack of off-gassing.

In terms of durability, the 10-year warranty includes replacing the Lucid mattress after ten years of use. Lucid themselves claim that mattresses should last a maximum of 10 years.

You can purchase the current line of Lucid mattresses directly from Lucid (though keep in mind that the Latex Hybrid is sold out, with the exception of the signature Twin XL). Purchasing directly from the brand guarantees you 100 nights to test the mattress, as well as a 10-year warranty.

However, if you want one of Lucid’s discontinued or sold-out models, you may have to turn to a third-party retailer such as Amazon or Kohl’s. While they can’t guarantee you a 100-day trial (Amazon typically has a 30-day return policy), prices tend to be lower, and retailers serve as the last-chance showroom to get your hands on a discontinued model.

How do I return a Lucid mattress?

To be eligible for a return, you must sleep on a Lucid mattress for at least 30 nights and no more than 100 nights. Additionally, you will be required to use a mattress pad on your bed throughout the trial. (We recommend using a good waterproof mattress pad, like the ones found in our best mattress pad guide.)
