Christmas joy confirmed: EastEnders Eve makes big gesture | Soap

Sukeve fans in EastEnders will get an early Christmas present next week as Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) finally get things back on track.

Eve sensationally called off her engagement earlier this month after discovering the truth about Sookie’s involvement in Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) last Christmas.

Eve is currently spending her time off-screen in Brighton, but next week she returns to Walford and meets up with her best friend Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

After they correct Stacy’s involvement with the Six, Stacy suggests that Eve talk to Sookie.

At number 41, Sookie and Eve then have a tense conversation before Eve runs off, leaving Sookie heartbroken again.

But it is only after another conversation with Stacey that Eve sees things differently and is encouraged to make a bold gesture when turning on the Christmas lights.

The next day, Sookie and Eve are the picture of happiness as they agree that plans for their New Year’s wedding are back on track.

The reunited couple hopes that the road to happiness will be smooth from now on.

But this is EastEnders, right? Will it really not be that simple?
