Sydney Sweeney ends her boxing biopic of Christy Martin with photos and a heartfelt message: ‘I don’t usually write much’

Actress Sydney Sweeney’s star power has risen steadily over the years, especially after becoming a household name thanks to her work on Euphoria (which is streaming on Max) and a huge success Anyone but you. She is involved in a number of interesting projects, including an untitled biopic about boxer Christy Martin. Sweeney had just completed work on the film and posted photos and a heartfelt message online.

What do we know about Euphoria The third season is limited, but Sweeney is busy working on some upcoming films. This includes her Christy Martin biopic, which will likely feature a very physical role. The project is officially over and she shared photos from the set and a long, heartfelt message on Instagram. Here it is. It seems that filming this untitled project was an important experience for Sweeney. And given her interest in MMA fighting, she seems like a great choice to train with Christy Martin. Hopefully more information about the film will come out sooner rather than later.

Sydney Sweeney signed on for the role back in May, and judging by the caption on her post, filming was a big process. Although Christy Martin approved of her casting, it appears that she was a real resource from Madame Web star. As she wrote in the caption of her post:

Christy’s journey is very inspiring and having her by my side during this process was just surreal. There were moments on set when I would look at her standing at the monitors cheering us on and I would get so emotional. Knowing what she had been through, what she had to go through to be there at that moment, I wanted to cry.

Playing a real-life character in a biopic usually brings added stress as the actors have to accurately portray certain characters rather than bringing the original character to life. And while some actors might have caved in inviting such a man onto the set, it appears that Martin was a great asset to Sydney Sweeney throughout filming.

In her post, Sweeney discussed the film’s emotional story, as well as the battles she took part in to bring Christie to life. In her words:

This story is much more than just a movie. It is a testament to resilience, survival and finding the strength to continue the fight. I can’t wait for you all to see it – not only because I’m proud of the transformation and the work I put into it, but because Christy’s story deserves to be told. And yes, you’ll see me kicking some serious ass (like seriously kicking some ass) ((like I enjoyed it a little too much when I kicked some ass haha)), but most importantly, you You will witness a story that is as powerful as the woman who lived it. I will carry this experience with me forever.

It seems that filming this film was a significant experience for Sydney Sweeney. And I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what the final project will be and how the film will impact the future of her career.
