The sports ministers of Russia and North Korea agreed on exchanges in 2025 – KCNA – Russian Politics and Diplomacy

SEOUL, November 25. /TASS/. Russian and North Korean sports ministers Mikhail Degtyarev and Kim Il Guk respectively signed a protocol on sports exchanges in 2025 during talks in Pyongyang on Sunday, North Korea’s official Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

“At the negotiations, issues related to the expansion and strengthening of exchanges and cooperation in the field of sports between Russia and the DPRK were discussed. A protocol on exchanges in 2025 was signed between the two ministries of sports,” the news agency reports. . At the negotiations, the two sports ministers were accompanied by the DPRK Vice Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Oh Kwang Hyok, relevant government officials, Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang Alexander Matsegora, Russian diplomats and members of the Russian delegation.

The Russian delegation visited sports facilities and memorials in Pyongyang, and also watched taekwondo demonstrations.

Degtyarev arrived in North Korea on November 22.
