Mississippi hero mom saves two sick puppies after seeing them thrown from car

It takes special strength to turn a heartbreaking scenario into a blessing in disguise, but one Mississippi mom named Jackloin didn’t hesitate to step in and save the lives of two abandoned puppies. She witnessed a heartless man throw sick, flea-covered puppies out of a car, and then she decided that their misfortunes would come to an end. She took to TikTok shortly after finding the puppies on November 17 to express her shock and sadness, but she never expected the massive response she received.

So far, her original video has been viewed by almost 3 million people, and it’s safe to say that these puppies now have a whole fan club rooting for them. It’s hard to see how dirty they are and hear the sadness in Jackolynn’s voice, but it’s worth every ounce of effort to see the babies healthy, safe and warm.

Oh my god, look at them! These little puppies are adorable, but they also look so young that they are ready to fend for themselves. If it weren’t for their guardian angel, it’s hard to say what would have happened. The puppies were covered in fleas and exposed to the elements before the man threw them out of the car, so it’s clear they were in desperate need of help.

“You didn’t need another dog, but they needed you,” wrote commenter @wilsonkelly1. You can say it again! After a warm bath, flea treatment and a good night’s sleep, these two mixed breed puppies looked like completely different dogs.

Wow! It wasn’t until I saw the puppies eating, playing and snuggling together that I realized how closed off they were when they were first rescued. I can’t imagine how scared they must have been! Luckily, they already seem to feel safe with Jackolynn and her family, and viewers are begging the family to adopt them.

Should littermates stay together?

While the verdict is still out on whether Jackolynn and her family will be able to adopt the rescued puppies, there is no shortage of opinions regarding a permanent home for the little ones. Many commenters have asked that the puppies stay together no matter who adopts them, but others have suggested the possibility of littermate syndrome.

This occurs when two sibling dogs who are raised together begin to develop behavior problems due to spending so much time with their sibling. This may manifest as separation anxiety, reactivity, fear, and difficulties in relationships outside of family ties. Puppies can be raised together without developing littermate syndrome, but it requires a lot of socialization, obedience training, and bonding, both together and separately.
