Gujarat Titans rope in Prasidh Krishna for 9.5 crore

Prasidh Krishna Iyer was released by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is considered one of the most exciting fast bowlers in India. Krishna joined Rajasthan Royals for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Krishna made his international debut in an ODI match against England in 2021.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Krishna has the unique ability to create extra bounce off his body with good length. Known for his skill and ability with the new ball, he also worked on his bowling in the death overs.

Gujarat Titans buy Prasidh Krishna for INR 9.5 crore

Gujarat Titans (GT) have secured the services of Prasidh Krishna by signing him for INR 9.5 crore on the first day of the mega auction of IPL 2025. GT and RR are locked in a head-to-head battle for the star Indian pacer.

Known for his ability to get extra bounces, Prasidh will be a huge asset at the Narendra Modi Stadium. His move to Gujarat will see him partner South African Kagiso Rabada.

Prasidh Krishna has previously played in the IPL

Prasidh Krishna began his IPL journey with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2018, replacing injured fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti in the squad. He made his debut on 6 May 2018 against Mumbai Indians, replacing Shivam Mavi in ​​the playing XI.

During his IPL career, Krishna took 49 wickets in 51 games. His best performance came against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 season where he recorded impressive figures of 4/30.

He was one of the most expensive players in the IPL 2022 auction, earning a contract worth INR 10 crores from Rajasthan Royals.

Krishna started his IPL career with a salary of INR 20 lakh at KKR. He was a part of RR with IPL from 2022 to 2024 with a salary of INR 10 crore.
