Exclusive | Aditya Roy Kapur to attend International Emmy Awards: If The Night Manager wins, it will be the icing on the cake

Actor Aditya Roy Kapur’s debut OTT series The Night Manager is India’s only nomination for the 2024 International Emmy Awards. It was selected in the Best Drama Series category. He left for New York on Saturday to join his team for the ceremony.

The 39-year-old told HT City: “The whole crew flew in. I also had some free time from filming, so I felt it would be a good way to cap off the whole experience. the team that worked on the show and everyone took the time to (attend the Emmys).”

The ceremony will take place on November 26. Ask if he worries about results, and Kapoor replies: “I don’t think about all that. Maybe Sandeep (Modi, director) and everyone else, but I think it’s great that we were nominated. . If we win, it will be like icing on the cake.

Given that there are no numbers to quantify the success of OTT, does he view this number as validation? “For the team that has worked so hard, this is recognition. It’s great to see your work being recognized on such an international platform. But the biggest recognition comes from the audience.
