In a significant development, a man hailing from Jaipur in Rajasthan was rescued by his friend on Saturday (November 23) after the latter saw him commit suicide during a live broadcast he started on Facebook. According to published information, the incident occurred on Saturday evening when Pawan, a resident of Jaipur’s Bagru, checked into a hotel on the Ajmer Highway. He then went live on Facebook, where he threatened to commit suicide.

Police said one of his friends, who then saw Pawan’s post threatening to take his life, immediately informed an acquaintance who worked as a head constable in Jaipur. Police said that after the constable became aware of the incident, he tracked down the man’s location and alerted hotel staff.

“After confirmation, the hotel staff, immediately reacting to the urgency of the matter, rushed into the room and found Pawan about to hang himself from the ceiling fan. They immediately intervened and rescued him,” the police added. Notably, the victim (Pawan) was rushed to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur where he is currently undergoing treatment. Moreover, further investigation into this fact is underway.
