Samvidhan Diwas Padyatra 2024: On November 25, Delhi Police issued an alert in connection with the Samvidhan Diwas Padyatra, warning commuters about traffic restrictions near the India Gate. According to the report, information has been received that the youth affairs department through its autonomous organization Mera Yuva Bharat is conducting a nationwide Samvidhan Diwas Padyatra to mark the 75th anniversary of our constitution.

The padyatra will be led by the ministers of youth affairs, sports, labor and employment, as well as other senior officials. It will begin around 8 am at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, India Gate and end at the same location by 9:30 am. It is estimated that around 10,000 youth/participants are likely to participate in the Padyatra, the release said.

To ensure smooth traffic management in the vicinity of C-Hexagon and around MLNP, no vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere in C-Hexagon and other adjoining areas as indicated in the routes to be avoided, it said.

Vehicles found parked on designated roads are subject to towing and prosecution for illegal parking and failure to obey legal directions. The towed vehicles will be parked at the road pit in front of Bhairo Mandir at Bhairon Marg, the release said.

People are also asked to avoid the Pragati Maidan tunnels approaching the India Gate. Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads whenever possible and make maximum use of public transport to ensure safe travel, it added.
