BB officials declare ‘total unity’ as they demand resignation of two deputy governors

Bangladesh Bank officials today (November 24) announced “total unity” in their demand, focusing on the resignation of two deputy governors, Nurun Nahar and Habibur Rahman.

Two deputy governors were appointed on contractual basis during the Awami League rule.

The 40-member team issued the ultimatum after a meeting with the bank’s governor, Dr Ahsan Mansoor, who advised the bank members to be patient and assured that they would look into the matter.

Party members also met Nurun Nahar twice on Sunday and demanded her resignation.
