Prosecutors in the 18th Judicial District want to file a new charge of solicitation of murder against an Aurora dentist accused of fatally poisoning his wife, officials said Friday, a day after his murder trial was delayed by his abrupt firing lawyer

James Craig, 46, was charged with first-degree murder in the poisoning of his wife, Angela Craig, 43, after she died March 18, 2023, from lethal doses of cyanide and tetrahydrozoline, a decongestant found in over-the-counter products over the counter eye drops.

On Friday, the District Attorney’s Office filed a motion asking that charges of solicitation to commit first-degree murder and solicitation of perjury be added to the criminal case against him, the agency said in a post on X.
