Storybook Valley has a variety of unique items that you can find and acquire as you explore the massive island. Disney’s Dreamlight Valley. However, some of these items are quite difficult to find, as is the case with volcanic rock.

Volcanic Rock is an important item for completing many quests and crafting recipes. If you want access to everything Vale has to offer, you need to know how to get volcanic rock Disney’s Dreamlight Valley.

Where to Find Volcanic Rock in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Volcanic rock can be obtained dig anywhere Everafter or Mythopia around The Storybook Vale in Disney’s Dreamlight Valley. It can only be found in these two areas, so digging elsewhere will never yield this resource.

If you are having trouble purchasing this item, please make sure you have digging companion next to you while you dig it. Having a character that specializes in this skill means that you will sometimes be granted extra ones if you manage to find volcanic rock.

You can also craft and use the Miracle Shovel Polish or the Even More Miraculous Shovel Polish to increase the chance of items dropping in the locations you dig for a limited time.

• Miracle shovel varnish increases the chance of dropping 10 excavation sites. It can be made using 10 Vitalis crystals, 10 dry firewood and 500 dream lights.
• Even more wonderful shovel varnish increases the chance of dropping 25 dig sites. It can be made using 20 Vitalis crystals, 20 dry trees and 1000 dream lights.

Using a digging companion and one of the special digging potions at the same time is the best way to ensure that you can mine a lot of volcanic rock.

You can find Volcanic Rock in eight areas of the Everafter and Mythopia biomes. Here are all the places you can visit to get this resource.

• Wild forest in Everafter.
• Tea Falls in Everafter.
• Fallen Fortress in Everafter.
• Bean swamps in Everafter.
• Champs Elysees in Mitopia.
• Flame Plains in Mitopia.
• Shadow of the statue in Mitopia.
• Mount Olympus in Mitopia.

The best place to find volcanic rock is in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Based on my experience searching for this resource, Everafter Volcanic Rock seems to have a much higher drop rate than Mythopia, so I recommend digging it exclusively in this biome. So far I have not been able to find any volcanic rock in Mytopia, although the collection page states that it can be found there.

When digging in Mytopia, I find almost only broken weapons. And when it’s not that item, I find Gravel instead, but not Volcanic Rock. I have excavated over 60 sites on the Champs Elysees and have not been able to find a single volcanic rock. In the Wild Forest, I excavated the same number of places and got 26 volcanic stones.

Based on this, it currently appears that the rate at which volcanic rock appears may be erroneous in Mytopia, or it may simply be exceptionally rare. We’ll continue testing and provide any updates we find here, but for now stick to everafter if you would like to purchase this resource.
