Mark Consuelos Goes Almost Naked (Except For His Boots!) In Stuart Weitzman’s Campaign – And Kelly Ripa’s Reaction Is Golden

The 53-year-old actor and TV presenter became the world’s first male ambassador of the iconic shoe brand.

If Mark Consuelos didn’t deserve this title before, he certainly does now. On Friday, November 22, the 53-year-old actor and host was unveiled as Stuart Weitzman’s first male global ambassador. This year, the cult brand released a men’s collection.

Consuelos opened up about his big moment in modeling with his wife Kelly Ripa on the November 22 episode of the show. Live with Kelly and Mark.

“I’m pleased to announce that Mark, yes our Mark, Mark Consuelos, has become Stuart Weitzman’s first global men’s brand ambassador,” Ripa greeted. “I have several photos from the photo shoot. Believe it or not, this man sells shoes. That’s right, shoes.”

The couple also unveiled a billboard for Stuart Weitzman Consuelos in New York.

“You can see him on the corner of 54th Street and Broadway, basically where I met him 30 years ago,” Ripa joked.

Consuelos said he is “very excited” to become part of the Stuart Weitzman family.

“It’s funny that when I went to the photo shoot, they had racks of nice clothes,” he said, with Ripa chiming in: “None of the ones you were wearing.”

In the campaign photos, shot in black and white by fashion photographer Ned Rogers, Consuelos shows off his toned physique while wearing nothing but underwear, a casual jacket and, of course, Stuart Weitzman boots.

“I am thrilled to be named Stuart Weitzman’s first global menswear ambassador,” Consuelos shared in a press release. “I know this brand through my wife, who has a lot of blue shoe boxes in her closet. I am honored to be considered the model for Stuart Weitzman.”

He continued: “When I told her about the ‘strong, sophisticated and sexy’ campaign concept, she encouraged me to go for it – and put all my hours in the gym to good use!”

The star wears two different fall styles from the latest men’s collection: the Aiden lace-up boot and the Adam boot, which is inspired by the Chelsea boot. Both styles feature a stretchy cuff and lightweight lug outsole.

“At Stuart Weitzman, everything we do is rooted in our purpose of instilling confidence in women while also finding meaningful ways to engage them,” explains Casey Mae O’Reilly, Stuart’s senior vice president, chief marketing officer, in a press release Weizman. With our recent launch of a men’s line, it was important that we chose a brand ambassador who represents a continuation of our brand narrative of celebrating modern femininity.”

She continues: “Mark is known to adore and support Kelly and we think it doesn’t get any sexier than that. This campaign is reaching out to men like him.”

During the October 29 episode Live with Kelly and MarkConsuelos’ wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, said he won the Sexiest Man Alive reader poll for Sexiest TV Show Host Alive for the second year in a row.

He defeated Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez and Jimmy Fallon, the latter of whom was actively competing for the title.

Jokingly calling the contest “the most important election of our time,” Consuelos, at the urging of the audience, gave an acceptance speech.

“I’d like to thank all the other nominees, especially Jimmy Fallon,” he said with a laugh, “for putting this QR code on his television program.”

“I voted for Jimmy. I’m sure it was very close,” he continued. “I voted for him several times. I think my family voted for him, but America spoke.”
