Buckingham Palace shared important information about Queen Camilla’s health

Queen Camilla has pulled out of the Royal Variety Performance due to an ongoing infection.

According to GB News, Doctors have advised the Queen to skip the event this evening.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Following a recent chest infection, The Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms and as a result doctors have advised that after a busy week of events, Her Majesty should prioritize getting adequate rest.”

The palace added: “It is with great regret that she has withdrawn from tonight’s Royal Variety Performance. His Majesty will be present as planned.”

Following Queen Camilla’s health update, a source shared with the publication: “(She is) naturally disappointed to have missed out on the evening’s entertainment and sends her sincere apologies to everyone involved, but firmly believes the show must go on.

They went on to say, “She hopes to return to full strength and regular public duties very soon.”

Notably, King Charles is set to attend the event alone as Queen Camilla will remain in London tonight.

Previously, Camilla also missed the memorial event due to illness.

She did not attend the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall or the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph, but marked the occasion “privately at home”.

Last week, the Queen resumed her public appearances for the first time since her illness, attending the Man Booker Prize reception at Clarence House.
