European giant accelerates double raid and ‘resumes negotiations’ for underrated star

European giant accelerates double raid and ‘resumes negotiations’ for underrated star

Juventus are reportedly hoping to sign Cesare Casadei and Ben Chilwell from Chelsea.

The Italian press claim that Juventus have “resumed negotiations” to sign Casadei, having sought his services last season. The Serie A side have learned that Casadei is likely to be available for transfer ahead of the January window and are not keen to miss out on the opportunity.

Chelsea’s top midfielder Enzo Maresca has turned down a central midfield role despite the pair working together at Leicester City last season.

Tuttosport provide an update on Casadei’s situation and state that he may be offered for sale this winter at a “bargain price,” although the exact amount is not yet known.

Casadei would likely welcome a return to Italy, having spent most of the season on the bench.

The Italy Under-21 international has never made a Premier League appearance, with four appearances coming in the European Conference League and League Cup.

Casadei could be joined by fellow Chelsea outcast Chilwell, who will also join Juventus.

The Italian giants are in need of a defensive boost following injuries to Juan Cabal and Gleison Bremer and see Chilwell as the ideal solution.

The left-back is “frustrated” by his lack of game time at Chelsea after being quickly sidelined by Maresca before the season began.

The most likely solution is for Chilwell to join Juventus on loan for the remainder of the campaign to try to put himself on display ready for the summer.

Premier League clubs such as West Ham United and Crystal Palace have also been linked with Chilwell, although TEAMtalk understands Borussia Dortmund have been eyeing him.

Chelsea look set to take a big financial hit for both Casadei and Chilwell in the future. Casadei cost the Blues £12m plus £4m in add-ons, while Chilwell moved to Stamford Bridge for £50m.

Chelsea transfers: Sancho departure rumors; new brazilian goal

Meanwhile, reports have emerged unexpectedly in the Spanish press that striker Jadon Sancho could be swapped by Chelsea for London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

In the summer, Sancho moved to Chelsea on a season-long loan from Manchester United. The deal will become permanent subject to certain conditions being met.

It has been suggested that Chelsea are already looking for “more stable” striker options, leading Tottenham to become “serious suitors” of Sancho.

Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Flamengo star Joao Victor, who has been described as the “new Marcelo”.

Chelsea are rumored to be battling Barcelona and the Saudis for the 17-year-old defender.
