TV on Radio Watching the Sun on Fallon: Watch

Ahead of their return to residency starting next week, TV on the Radio came together to perform “Staring at the Sun” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday evening.

Wreathed in orange light, the band energetically performed the 2004 track from their debut album: Desperate youth, bloodthirsty children. Throughout the track, the steady drive of the rhythm section and the muted wail of the electric guitar set the stage for vocalist Tunde Adebimpe, who leads the band to a climax with his rousing chorus: “Your body is above me.” Watch the video of the performance below.

TV on radio reissued Desperate youth, bloodthirsty children earlier this month, adding two previously unreleased tracks to the album. Get it on vinyl here.
