See which Michigan private high schools are the most expensive to attend

Michigan public schools rely on per-student state funding from taxpayer dollars, but some parents can spend tens of thousands of dollars more to enroll their children in private schools.

According to recent Private School Review lists for 2024-2025, average private school tuition is approximately $7,000 per student for elementary schools and $13,008 for high schools in Michigan.

Private School Review is a popular website created in 2003 that features thousands of private schools across the United States, using both self-reported data from schools and information from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Most of Michigan’s most expensive private schools serve high school students. Of Michigan’s 25 most expensive private schools, only four do not enroll high school students finishing in fifth or eighth grade.

These are Summers Knoll School and Hebrew Day School in Ann Arbor, at $17,800 and $17,738 per student, respectively, and Steppingstone School in Plymouth and New Morning School, at $18,850 and $16,382, respectively.

So, what are the tuition fees for private high schools in Michigan?
