Man dies from gunshot wound after shooting on Sydney street

Man dies in public shooting Sydneycity ​​center tonight.

Emergency services were called to Baptist Street, Surry Hills, off Cleveland Street, following reports of shots fired at around 7.45pm.

Upon arrival New South Wales Police Officers found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from a gunshot wound.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat him but the man died at the scene.

Emergency services were called shortly after reports of a car fire in Kensington Road, Kensington. Police arrived to find the Porsche on fire.

Initial investigations indicate that the two incidents are related.

A crime scene has been established and local and state homicide detectives are investigating the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
