Sydney Sweeney assured Bowen Young that her ‘Euphoria’ sex scenes prepared her for her viral ‘SNL’ skit.

Sydney Sweeney assured Bowen Young that her ‘Euphoria’ sex scenes prepared her for her viral ‘SNL’ skit.

Sydney Sweeney was “prepared” for anything during her viral “SNL” concert in March 2024, according to Bowen Young.

During the “Hot Ones” performance at First We Feast, Ian said he was initially concerned that the “Bowen Straight” sketch needed a intimacy coordinator. In the sketch, Sweeney discovers that Ian is straight and then begins an affair with the openly queer actor. Still, Sweeney assured Young that “Euphoria” more than prepared her for their intimate scene on “SNL.”

“Pitching ‘Bowen Straight’ to Sydney Sweeney was a lot of fun,” Young said. “I just remember saying, ‘We’re going to need an intimacy coordinator for this, and it will be entirely up to your comfort,’ and then she said, ‘Bowen, I’m on Euphoria, that’s not going to work.’ be anyone.” So it was really fun and she was really excited about it and she was great.”

Sweeney will reprise her role as Cassie in the third season of Euphoria.

Sweeney previously told Who What Wear she was looking forward to returning to the series after her hiatus.

“I’m actually loving (the delay) because there’s so much room for growth, both for me as a person and for Cassie as a character,” Sweeney said, teasing the upcoming storyline: “It’s going to be very, very wild.”

The third season of Euphoria will go into production in January 2025 and will consist of eight episodes.

Meanwhile, Sweeney also plays boxer Christy Martin in David Michôd’s biopic, appears in Ron Howard’s Eden and reprises his role as Kim Novak in Colman Domingo’s directorial debut Scandalous, about the alleged romance between Novak and Sammy Davis Jr.

Sweeney told Vanity Fair that her “SNL” monologue mocking her movie star appeal was part of her political statement about Hollywood’s faux feminism.

“I actually had to push for it,” she said of the monologue. “Some people were a little nervous about it, but in real life I’d like to say I’m a funny person. And sometimes I wish that I could address more (things) with my Seed, but I find that on social media there is such a flaw in the way things are communicated. It’s difficult to convey information the way you intend – it can be misinterpreted. So being able to do it on stage in Syd’s style, I loved it. I felt like I was taking my power back.”
