Police believe three men were involved in a shooting near downtown Asheville.

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville Police Department is asking for information after a shooting left one person injured Wednesday night.

Officers received reports of a shooting just before 6 p.m. on Cherry Street North. When investigators searched the area, they found three empty shell casings, one live round and blood on the sidewalk.

A victim arrived at Mission Hospital with a gunshot wound. According to police, the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Police believe three men may be involved in the shooting.
