Louise Carter says she can’t relax because a bus stop has been built near her house.

The parish authorities decided to move the bus stop to its original location after a woman complained that her latest website was ruining her privacy.

The St Helier Roads Committee wanted it moved back to Whiteley Close in Grand Vaux, around the corner from where it was installed.

Louise Carter said people were sitting on her doorstep looking into her living room as they waited for the bus.

She’s glad it’s moving forward, but worries that when it does, other people will have similar problems.

“I’m glad I don’t have to see the bus stop, those were the only five buses this morning when I was trying to get ready.

“Since my bathroom and living room face a bus stop, it’s not great.”

The Department of Infrastructure said it was responsible for moving the stop and would hold discussions with the Roads Committee in the coming days.
