Collaborative Problem Solving: Skill of the Year

What does this mean for marketers?

LinkedIn’s new report on marketing jobs seems promising, but what should marketers do with this data?

Here’s the breakdown.

Polish your profile (even if you’re not looking)

Most B2B marketers are happy with their positions, but more than half are willing to jump ship for the right job.

Keep your resume and LinkedIn up to date in case your dream job comes along.

Embrace the chaos

Marketing is moving fast and most of them feel overwhelmed by the constant changes.

Solution? Never stop learning. Immerse yourself in learning the latest skills and technologies to keep up.

Balance between technical savvy and people skills

Now you can’t escape artificial intelligence in marketing. Get comfortable with these tools, but don’t get too hung up on skills like collaboration and creative problem solving.

Since AI handles routine tasks, these “human” skills will set you apart from others.

Targeted high growth positions

Are you looking at career growth? Social media manager, marketing manager, and director positions are popular in North America.

In EMEA, aim for a Marketing Specialist or Marketing Executive role.

Stay flexible

Is your niche growing slower than others? Don’t worry. Working remotely means more opportunities in different locations.

Plus, your marketing skills will likely transfer to other industries—change them as needed.
