Channel 4 is developing a revolutionary new game show that will change the lives of its contestants forever

A NEW “game show” is being developed which will see contestants make various life decisions based on the roll of the dice.

The program, which currently does not have a name, aims to help people whose decision-making problems are holding them back in life.

A new “game show” is being developed in which contestants make various life decisions based on the roll of dice, similar to Luke Rinehart’s “Dice Man.”

The experiment, which is likely to be shown on Channel 4, looks at what happens if the choice is based on a random process, and is based on two popular books on the same topic.

An insider said: “It follows an idea that was explored previously in Luke Rinehart’s The Dice Man, where the character makes daily decisions based on the roll of a die.

“Or Danny Wallace’s book Yes Man, where he answered yes to every suggestion put to him and observed often unpredictable results. There is also the concept of flipism, which is based on making decisions based on the toss of a coin.

“Whichever method is chosen, it’s all about what happens when decisions are taken out of our hands and determined by something completely different.

“It’s just a pilot at this stage, but the concept is so intriguing that there’s a good chance it will make it into a full-fledged series.”

Production company Five Mile Films has announced contestants who can apply individually or in pairs.

The question is asked: “Stuck in a rut? Do you want to change something in your life, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to be bolder, more decisive?”

“We’re doing a pilot for a new TV series where contestants use dice to make decisions big and small.

“If you think you could get more out of life, contact us.”

Now, if this doesn’t make you want to apply to be on a TV show, nothing will. . .

Gavin, laugh, Alison.

ALISON STEADMAN and Larry Lamb rank among the most attractive sitcom parents, as do Gavin and Stacey’s Pam and Mick Shipman.

But like all couples, they are prone to the odd argument – including the time Larry berated his on-screen wife for delaying filming due to a fit of laughter.

Alison said she had a hard time filming the scene because she couldn’t stop laughing and the whole segment had to be put on hold.

In her new book, Out of Character, Alison explains: “It must have gone on for at least 20 minutes.

“Director Christine Gernon said, ‘Okay, we’re going to give everyone a break now to give Alison a chance to figure this all out.’

“Larry, who is the epitome of patience, even ended up telling me, ‘For God’s sake, Alison, just say the damn line.’

Art attack!

SKY is offering its own Bob Ross-themed art classes as the workshop launches on December 2nd.

The series will be hosted by the channel’s Portrait Artist of the Year artists, who will teach simple portrait techniques in a portrait lesson from judge Tai-Shan Schierenberg.

Gary: I’m not a wine expert.

TAKE THAT star Gary Barlow is about to start his new series about wine – but he doesn’t want anyone to think he’s a fan.

The singer-songwriter headlines Gary Barlow’s Wine Tour: South Africa, which will air every day next week on ITV1 at 2pm.

Gary said: “I just wanted to approach it as a person trying to find out about all this.

“And hopefully we’ll show audiences that they don’t have to be too intimidated by wine.”

I’m betting the series won’t do any harm to sales of Gary’s own range of wines either.

Hard man Nat

NATHAN STEWART-JARRETT plays an ex-con desperate to escape his dark past in the Disney+ series Culprits.

But there was one thing the actor couldn’t give up during filming – the gym.

He said: “I opened the script and on the first page it said ‘muscles’ and I thought, ‘Oh, no, no.’ I got the role and they took me to the gym! I lived in this gym.

“I ate whole cows, chicken coops and eggs. It was really hard. But being able to pick up grown men was incredible – I loved it.”

Culprits will also be available to stream on ITVX from 19 December.

Fergie spanking scripts

EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison has revealed she is selling scripts from the BBC One soap to “give a roof over her head” after being “overlooked” for acting roles.

She played Heather Trott in Albert Square from 2007 until 2012, when her character was killed off.

Room for Rose

Taking over from Greg Davis in Junior Warden had its advantages for Rose Matafeo, not least because she got to sit on the famous throne.

The comedian was also tempted to transform his home with decorations.

Rose joked: “Sitting on the taskmaster’s throne really changes a person – power does crazy things to the mind.

“It was strange to realize that it wouldn’t be Greg’s face in the picture, but mine. I really thought I could take them. . . and let my face be in my living room.”

Junior Warden returns on Friday at 8pm on Channel 4.
