Watch live as Donald Trump holds a rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania on Sunday (Nov. 3) as a shock poll puts Kamala Harris ahead in Iowa.

The vice president has surpassed her Republican opponent in a new poll in a state he won easily in 2016 and 2020.

Trump campaign criticized Seltzer poll for Des Moines Register newspaper, which found that women and older voters were responsible for the remarkable turnaround.

It found that among 808 likely voters surveyed between Oct. 28 and Oct. 31, Harris led Trump by 47 to 44 percent.

That was within a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points, but marked a change from the September poll in Iowa, in which Trump led by 4 points, the newspaper reported.

The former president’s team pointed to another poll taken the same day that gave the Republican a ten-point lead in the same state.

Mr Trump’s rally came after he greeted a supporter’s cry during an event in Greensboro, North Carolina, that Ms Harris was “working on the corner”.

He repeated accusations that his Democratic opponent had never worked at McDonald’s, to which one person responded that she “worked on the corner.”

Trump then laughed, saying, “This place is amazing.”

Meanwhile, his rival made fun of his fight with the garbage truck by unexpectedly appearing on Saturday Night Live.
