Campaign launched to stop rising violence in schools

KUWAIT, November 3: As part of the Farwaniya Educational District initiative, Umm Ziad Al Ashjaiyah Girls’ High School in Ishbiliya, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, launched a national campaign called “United Against Violence” aimed at combating rising violence among youth , reports Al-Seyassa newspaper.

Ali Al Ali, head of the Kuwait Society Against Violence, called on parents to protect and control their children, noting that several young offenders were currently being held in juvenile centers. He stressed the need to address the issue through policy amendments in collaboration with government agencies and suggested that schools check students’ bags and limit the use of phones.

Al-Ali emphasized that the mission of the campaign is to reintegrate youth into society as active and positive participants. He added that the society’s strategy is in line with Kuwait’s vision for the future and aims to combat violence in society by promoting Islamic values ​​and cultural heritage through tolerance, social cohesion and respect. In addition, the society plans to provide vulnerable groups with coping skills and conduct research to understand and address the problem of violence in society.
