On Sunday, November 3, the duo, who star in the highly anticipated film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, attended the Journey in Oz tour at Sydney’s State Theatre, where the film celebrated its Australian premiere as part of a global event. press tour

Like her character Glinda, Grande, 31, arrived in style, wearing a voluminous pink dress with a fitted bodice and dramatic sleeves covered in sheer fabric with sparkling details and a full skirt. She accessorized the look with a diamond butterfly necklace and diamond butterfly ring, and pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail, with one loose curl framing her face.

Erivo, 37, who plays Elphaba, moved away from her character’s signature green color in an elegant strapless black dress with a vibrant, structured skirt that flared out at the hips. The actress and singer paired Grande with her own necklace, a black and white statement piece that perfectly complemented her dress.

Later in the evening, on a yellow brick carpet (named after Yellow Brick Road, of course), the duo posed next to their co-stars, including Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Jonathan Bailey.

Goldblum, 72, opted for a brown long tails suit with black lapels and a green silk shirt, while Bailey, 36, looked dapper in a white suit and yellow shirt.

Bode opted for a lime green strapless dress and metallic green heels, while Grande’s boyfriend Slater, 32, wore a classic black suit with a brown shirt and dark brown tie.

The Sydney premiere comes a day after Grande and Slater were photographed arriving hand-in-hand in the Australian port city on Saturday, November 2, and the trip itself followed Grande and Erivo’s presence at WSJ. Magazine‘s Innovator Awards 2024, where they posed together on the red carpet.

The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer looked adorable in a white floral embroidered dress by Vivienne Westwood. Erivo showed off her style in a chic gray and green look from Erdem’s Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection.

At the event on Tuesday, October 29, the actors, who were cast as the lead roles in the project back in November 2021, told PEOPLE that they have “changed for the better” since getting to know each other.
